ERNESTO GUZMAN, VISIONARY

Ernesto was born into a family who appreciated good food. He grew up surrounded by his father’s family who were caterers of authentic Mexican cuisine, but it was his Mother, Martha, who taught herself how to prepare and cook a high-end cuisine. His Grandfather, Julio Mario, born in France, appreciated the proper fermentation of the grape. He taught Ernesto about fine wines and how to pair the perfect wine to enhance the flavor of the prepared foods.

Mr. Guzman’s ease of presenting different cuisines comes from growing up with people of different ethnicities. He came to the United States from Toluca, Mexico when he was 27 years old. He was fortunate to have worked with some of the best chefs in Philadelphia for the past 30 years. Now, he introduces flavors inspired by Mexico, Italy, France, and America to Sontuosa BYOB on the Main Line.

This visionary’s dream is to give you the best food that his palette has acquired and refined, and to ensure that you have a memorable eating experience, whether from a simply delicious sandwich to a “sumptuous” dinner.

Welcome to Sontuosa!

Buén Provecho!
